A total of 7 different cards will be released in the series, with a new card being made available at the start of each new month. Lindsey and her Teammates were at Irwindale Speedway promoting the tracks newly acquired sponsorship agreement with Toyota and Opening Night for the 2008 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season. Changes at Motorsports Authentics could affect product availability



Motorsports Authentics, the leading manufacturer in Action 1:24 scale die-cast cars has announced major changes for 2008. Overall, the changes should be positive to the NASCAR Collectible industry, but could affect Consumers with product availability. Die-cast Cars will no longer go through multiple production runs throughout the year with the “Limited Edition” label, and instead will go through a “one time” production run in 2008. The 2008 label will display the total production run, for example 1 of 3,500. Production runs will be based on a combination of Dealer pre-orders and projected sales by Motorsports Authentics other sales outlets.

The changes will definitely affect product availability, and consumers will no longer have the luxury to buy cars at their leisure, knowing that production lines were always open and the chances to acquire their car would always be there for 2007. The only real way to guarantee you get the car you want in 2008 is to pre-order through a NASCAR preferred dealer, such as Checker Flag Zone. If you wait until the car is produced, you will be competing with all other consumers also seeking that same car, and we predict two things will happen:

1. You won’t be able to get the car you want, or 2. You’ll pay an inflated price on the secondary Market. With all the changes in NASCAR for 2008, we believe there will be a huge demand, but with a shortage in production. Die-cast cars for Drivers, such as Kyle Busch (always popular because of M&M’s) or Dale Jarrett (retirement year) are just an example of some we think will be hard to come by if you don’t pre-order ahead of time.

One thing for sure, the change in production runs of the die-cast cars should bring back some integrity to the NASCAR collectible market because production runs will be known at the time the car is first released
